Built as editable library content.

The lemon surface was built fully procedurally in Substance 3D Designer. Pore structure, color breakup and surface response were separated so the material could be adjusted without rebuilding it. The water droplets were created in Blender with Geometry Nodes.

The same library work also covered avocado skin and Damascus steel.

Production decisions

Each surface needed a different structural model.

Lemon and avocado are not solved by adding generic noise to a sphere. The recognizable read comes from the relationship between pore scale, larger form breakup, color distribution and roughness response. Those layers were kept separately controllable so the material could be reviewed and adjusted as library content.

Damascus steel required a different logic: the visible identity comes from the layered metal pattern and how that pattern responds to the knife form and light. The public work demonstrates three distinct material problems rather than one graph reused with a color change.

The ArtStation project identifies the lemon as fully procedural, documents the Blender Geometry Nodes droplets and names Marmoset as the client. Marmoset’s library release independently lists the contributor credit.
